What counts as a live document?
Every invoice generated with an sk_live_ key counts once, in the calendar month it was generated, whichever formats it returns. Invoices generated with an sk_test_ key never count.
When does the allowance reset?
At the start of every calendar month, in UTC. Documents you did not use are not carried over.
What happens when I reach my limit?
Further live requests are answered with HTTP 402 and a problem+json body that links to your plan settings. Nothing is generated and nothing extra is charged, and test mode keeps working.
What is an invoice profile?
The seller identity an invoice is issued under: company name, address, VAT ID and logo. A company invoicing under one name needs one; an agency or platform invoicing for others needs one per seller.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. Sandbox is free and has no monthly limit on test invoices. Test invoices go through the same validation as live ones and carry a TESTRECHNUNG watermark.
Where is my data stored?
With Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany. The object store's region and endpoint are checked at startup, and outside the EU the application refuses to boot.
Are the prices net?
Yes. All amounts are net, plus VAT.
